I love this song and wanted to share it. When I was 'setting' my goals for 2011 my #1 goal is to continue moving forward in the freedom God has given me. I have a past but God set me free from it several years ago and now I continually look forward to what He has for me..no rewinding....only moving forward.
Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Brothers and sisters, I don't consider that I have taken hold of it yet. But here is the one thing I do. I forget what is behind me. I push hard toward what is ahead of me Phil. 3:12
This past Sunday our Pastor shared a message to help us start the new year off right....'I Quit'. No looking back, only looking/moving forward. It is the best New Year message I have heard and I want to share it with you. If you need to be reminded of how to not rewind into the mistakes/failures of 2010 but instead move forward into 2011 then check out the message here http://peopleschurch.tv/media_podcasts. I am sure you will be BLESSED and encouraged to continue to look forward at the plan God has for your life and not relive the mistakes of your past. Learn from it, but don't live in it. I am excited about what God has for me in 2011...He has more for me than I can ever think or imagine.
